Tesla Rival Rivian Recalled Nearly All ITs Vehicles

🪫 When the seemingly unnoticeable fails, catastrophe can strike. Rivian, an electric car company, found this out the hard way when they had to recall 13,000 vehicles due to a steering issue. The problem? An insufficiently torqued fastener. This tiny flaw can cause rare instances where drivers might have difficulty steering their cars and—in some bad cases—lose control entirely.

Rivian has only been around since 2020, so nearly all of the vehicles delivered are part of this recall; however, according to them, only 1% of these cars will experience symptoms from the faulty part. They’ve issued an email to customers apologizing for any inconvenience and assuring them that repairs will be made free of cost within 30 days timeframe. Rivian’s popular R1T pickup truck starts at $73 thousand while their SUV version R1S begins at $78 thousand, but with recent events like these, shares have fallen 📉 64% since earlier this year.
